Rep. Bob Goodlatte (good-LATT), R-Roanoke, holds a commanding cash lead over his two challengers in the 6th Congressional District contest,. That's according to candidate expense reports filed with the Federal Election Commission. Goodlatte reported more than $1.5 million in his campaign war chest compared to just under 83-thousand dollars for Democratic challenger Sam Rasoul, according to the report. Bridgewater resident Janice Lee Allen, who is running as an independent, was not yet required to file a report. Allen, however, said she has raised and spent less than $5,000. The reports filed Tuesday covered candidate activity from Jan. 1 through June 30.
