Staunton Man Still Missing

Park officials say no significant clues have yet been found in the case of a missing Staunton man in the Shenandoah National Park. Park Rangers are searching for 50-year-old Earl Funk, who was last seen around 1 p.m. in the Cedar Mountain area on Monday. Friends and volunteers conducted a hasty search of the area Monday night and Tuesday morning. The search has centered on the Cedar Mountain area both on park and private land. Operations will continue this morning. Funk is described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes, 5 foot 8 who weighs approximately 145 pounds. He is wearing dark pants and a light shirt. WHSV reports more than 70 employees and trained volunteers, including ground searchers and two dogs teams are currently involved in the search.
